help please!
i'm moving into a new flat next month for term time, and my bedroom doesn't have a proper wardrobe. there's like a cupboard thing but it's only shelved, there's no rails to hang anything from.

i was thinking about getting a stand up hanging rail thing but as far as i've seen they look kinda weird? does anyone have any photos of theirs?

otherwise i guess i'm just gonna fold everything.

if anyone has any other ideas of what i can do with this please help!

so this isn't text only, this is the tiniest part of my tiny room at home.

My room is more or less finished...
I need to get rid of a few things and add a few more, and maybe rearrange a couple items, but my bedroom is mostly done. (The apartment itself, however, is another story.)

I can't paint in this apartment, so the walls are going to be filled. I don't mind the white so much; it, and the two windows, help make it exceptionally bright. The only problem this has is during the morning.

I'm thinking of repainting my room, but I don't know what colour. I want a nice girly colour, but not a colour I'll get sick of easily, any ideas? Also, my room is really blank, any ideas to kinda jazz it up, give it more personality?

Hey, I'm pretty new to this community and this is my first post! Thought I'd share some pictures of my bedroom, even though come August I'll be going to college! I'll have to post again once I decorate my dorm.

Small bedrooms!
Anybody who has a teeny tiny bedroom could you please post it here? I'm talking like 10x10. I'm moving into a townhouse with room mates on the first and I'm seriously having panic attacks on how I'm going to make this room work. Thanks! I appreciate it so much!

dorms.
Lately (well always really) there are a lot of posts about decorating dorms. My dilemma is sort of different. I'm coming here to ask about layouts of dorm rooms. I always see rooms in here who maximize the small space, so any help in arranging the furniture would be fantastic! Luckily, my school provides outlines of the rooms.

it had to be you ;
So. Before we open our brand new forum, It Had To Be You, we need one more character. A Dan Humphrey. We're going to let two or more people choose the character and then the best app gets it, and we REALLY need someone to play him so we can open up and then get more people to join. So if you're interested, please head over there and do your application! Also, if you happen to want the spot, don't register with Dan Humphrey as an username. We'll rename you if you get him.
Thanks! <3

'Gossip Girl' to Launch Racy New Photos
By FRAZIER MOORE, AP Television Writer
1 hour, 45 minutes ago

NEW YORK - "Gossip Girl" will get people talking. At least, that seems likely as the CW network brings to a boil its new campaign for the sexy prep-school soap.

The show's second season begins Sept. 1, following an August promotion to put viewers, um, in the mood. And here's a twist: The racy ads co-opt language from the very criticism of the show for being too, well, racy.

Alert surfers got a preview last week, when images of coupled-up "Gossip Girl" characters found their way onto several Web sites.

Item: Here's Serena van der Woodsen (series blonde Blake Lively) with eyes shut dreamily, mouth open, while a friend, his face buried in her tresses, nuzzles her neck.

Strongly suggesting the pair are just getting started, the headline, which quotes The Boston Herald, declares: "Every Parent's Nightmare."

Other such lovey-dovey moments (on a couch, in the sack or apparently skinny-dipping) are accompanied by headlines like "A Nasty Piece of Work" and "Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate."

That latter phrase was borrowed from the Parents Television Council, which has blasted the series' salacious content since its premiere.

"I think it reeks of desperation, if they have to position themselves as so edgy and so controversial that they've been called out by us," said Melissa Henson, PTC director of communications.

But CW marketing boss Rick Haskins said the advertising just aims to get noticed.

"What we're trying to do is communicate with the audience in a way that they like and can appreciate," he said. "This sort of campaign resonates with someone who likes 'Gossip Girl'" — specifically, women ages 18 to 34.

The objective was finding "well-written headlines that are provocative and would catch our viewers' attention," said Haskins, "and, in a tongue-in-cheek way, capture what the show is about."

The series is based on the popular "Gossip Girl" young-adult novels, and is presented to the audience through the eyes of its mysterious title character, whose tattling posts are savored by the show's PDA-packing teens as they share the luxe life on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

The series debuted last fall. Then, in January, its run was interrupted by the Hollywood writers strike. No new episodes were aired until April 21, for which the first welcome-back campaign was launched.

That promotion included racy images of the show's characters with the headline: "OMFG." THAT got people talking.

While the CW's Haskins insisted at the time that the initials could stand for any number of things, like "Oh My Freaking Goodness" (and as the Gawker Web site sarcastically scoffed, "On Meth, Feeling Good," among others), many of its intended viewers may have seized on a much ruder interpretation — wording that would be taboo on broadcast TV and most advertising.

"Rather than reinforcing positive values that parents are trying to instill in their children, this program very often is undermining these positive values," said PTC's Henson in April during a CNN-aired discussion spurred by that steamy campaign.

"Gossip Girl" can only hope that its September return will be greeted with comparable notice.

TCA: The CW Considers Summer Rollouts

The CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff: Network may launch 2009-10 schedule in July or August to 'get out of the fray.'
By B&C Staff -- Broadcasting & Cable, 7/19/2008 7:22:00 PM

Beverly Hills -- The CW is looking at launching its 2009-10 schedule in the summer, according to network entertainment president Dawn Ostroff.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour here Saturday, Ostroff said the network is considering rolling out its schedule next July or August, despite the traditionally low viewership for broadcast television at that time of the year.

“The idea is to get out of the fray,” she added.

With The CW looking at alternative scheduling options to help bolster its fortunes, Ostroff said she is not afraid to end the network’s season as much as one month earlier than other networks.

CW Lifts Ban on Online Steaming

The CW has lifted its ban on Internet streaming of “Gossip Girl.”

The network made headlines last spring when it announced it would stop streaming episodes of the buzzworthy soap opera on its Web site. At the time, CW executives described it as an experiment.

Turns out the experiment didn’t quite work out.

Ratings for the show didn’t go up noticeably. And fans protested loudly (even though the show was still available for purchase on iTunes).

Now CW Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff says “Gossip Girl” will once again be streamed on the network’s Web site, as well as other sites. The show also will continue to be available for purchase online.

 FINALLY!
